Fifth Element Community Development + Consulting is a conscientious community development firm fortifying historically undercapitalized communities through decision making power in public policy and the built environment.

Mission

Using an economic justice praxis, Fifth Element works alongside values aligned people and organizations to develop holistic solutions to community development.  Our tools include but are not exclusive to: strategic planning, policy creation, policy analysis, advocacy, narrative change, capacity building, facilitation, and relationship building.

Vision

We envision a world where all people have the resources needed to live abundant lives. Where we exist in aesthetically beautiful, well-designed, highly functional, human-centered built environments with housing, healthcare, recreation, arts and culture, education, and an economy that affirms our humanity and supports symbiotic living with the natural world.

Values

Our focus is equitable community development that uplifts economically, socially, and ethnically diverse communities. We prioritize well-being, abundance, and a sense of belonging, aiming for collective transformation and liberation. We champion sovereignty, healing, and reparations, rooted in the belief in humanity’s inherent goodness and potential for positive change.
